Perfection. We had a dinner here as we were staying at The Villas at Bahia Del Duque. Everything was exquisite. The views, the dining hall, the terrace, the service and most importantly, the food was sublime!! Me and my partner both opted for the vegetarian menu, and every course (of what felt like an endless number!) was delightful and a new journey for our tastebuds to enjoy. We couldn’t recommend this place enough… what a wonderful and memorable experience. We even considered going again during our week stay - but will return next time we are in Tenerife.
The experience we had at this restaurant was truly beautiful. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed, almost as if we were the only guests there. Everyone was incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful throughout the entire evening, always making sure every detail of the dining experience was perfect. The atmosphere is both elegant and comforting. Even knowing it is an exclusive place, you somehow feel completely at ease — almost as if you were enjoying a wonderful evening on the terrace of your own home. The owners were wonderful. The staff was wonderful. The food was wonderful. Everything about this place makes you want to come back again. An unforgettable experience.
I’m fascinated. I came to celebrate my birthday in a different way, alone in a new place. It was a fantastic dinner — more than a dinner, it was a truly wonderful experience, beyond my expectations. You can see the dedication in every detail, in every dish. The part I enjoyed the most was “cielo,” the final room of the experience, where desserts are served. It was a fun, colorful, and delicious surprise, and the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening.
We almost backed out of our reservation but are so glad we followed through. We were welcomed warmly and led to a casual spot on the terrace where we were served a glass of wine and a variety of tasty bites that were honestly extraordinary each on their own. Once relaxed, we were escorted to our table where a succession of courses were served each one more magical than the last. The real stand out for me was the parmesean foam cloud with ancient balsamic and a little mushroom shaped bun with savory-sweet coating for dipping. This is one Michelin starred restaurant where I did not leave hungry. A real treat was retiring to a private area after the meal to meet the chef and be served some magical and whimsical sweet treats. Even more treats (a lot of them) were waiting for us at the table upon our return. We were too full and had to take them to go! I will definitely return on my next visit to Tenerife.
We went to Nub to celebrate 40’s Birthday (big deal), we were very excited about it as it’s very difficult to find a good, Vegetarian friendly, Michelin star restaurant. I must say the first bite was mind blowing, both vegetarian and normal one, sadly, from there it all went downhill. Presentation was mediocre at best, they focus most on the year of vinegar rather than on the food itself, the second bite was bad (vegetarian) and by the face of disgust of the non vegetarian - worse, the following were just dull and nothing special. These were on the terrace which actually do have nice ambiance, design is cosy and warm and the atmosphere, in the terrace, really feels luxurious. From there we were moved to the main hall, cold, grey, too much light and dull zone, that doesn’t feel welcoming at all. The food there started bad, one dish worth mentioning is a COLD RED PASTA (yes, like the one you make for your kids - hot - and then eats from the fridge), we thought it was a joke (a bad one) but this tiny portion of cold kids pasta was actually was of the mains… At some point the food started being ok (the foamed cheese was nice), but nothing even close to be worthy of so much money per person, or a Michelin star. For the desert we were moved to another area, too bright for me, though the collections of figurines had a nice touch, at this area we were served deserts, which were ok, and met the chef. Back to the main area we got more deserts to the table (which were much better than the ones in the other area) and a birthday cake (which was actually really good, but not part of the normal menu). Doesn’t worth the money.
