Relaxed restaurant with an old-fashioned atmosphere dishing up traditional cuisine.via Google

En længe drevet familierestaurant med skaldyr, bygget mindst lige så meget på escaldón de gofio som på den friske fisk — en kombination, der viser, at her laves maden først og fremmest til de lokale.

Signature
Escaldón de gofio og frisk grillet fisk

Delicious food and wine with very reasonable waiting time around 7pm. My sirloin of the house was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, goes very well with the onion sauce. All the seafood dishes were very fresh. The cooking preserved the ingredients’ natural flavors very well.

A local had recommended we visit Meson Los Gemelos to sample home cooked Canarian food. You have to be prepared to wait for a table to become available. On arrival write your name on the waiting list hanging at the door. It was Monday lunchtime ( still a queue) we waited 20mins. The restaurant feels as if you are sitting on an exterior terrace, but the roof is covered. The place is decorated with old farm implements giving the place a rustic charm. The service is brusk, just another day, have they lost the passion for what they do? An extensive menu of fish, meat and tapas dishes., to choose from. We ordered grilled mussels and a mixed salad for a starter. The portions were large. For the main we had sole with Canarian potatoes. The fish was enormous, plenty of fleshy meat. We had water to drink. The food is good value for money. An interesting place, not sure it’s worth the wait?

Very tasty food and a really lovely atmosphere! When you arrive, there is a list at the entrance where you write down your name and the number of people in your party. They then call you when a table becomes available, which is a nice and organized system. We ordered a large seafood platter for two, which was very filling. We also ordered octopus separately, and it was absolutely delicious! Personally, I would recommend ordering the octopus separately rather than choosing the large seafood platter - it was definitely my favorite. Overall, a very atmospheric place with delicious food. I would definitely recommend it!

I waited around 15 minutes for a table. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty (fried octopus, croquettes, fried shrimps). The atmosphere felt authentic and lively. Overall, definitely worth the wait!

We had to wait a very long time to get into the restaurant – around 1.5 hours. Despite there being empty tables, the staff were not inviting anyone inside. You also need to put your name on a waiting list, which we were not aware of, and neither were many other people. The reason seems to be the limited number of staff, who unfortunately appeared as though they did not want to be there. The food was good, depending on the dish. We had the calamari and octopus, which were both tasty, but we had better versions elsewhere in Tenerife. In our opinion, the food simply wasn’t worth waiting 1.5 hours for. Having visited now, I personally wouldn’t wait that long again and would choose a different restaurant instead.
