Yumbo Centre

If you like your shopping centres quiet, refined and tasteful… absolutely do not come here! 🤣 Lively, cosmopolitan and gloriously tacky. The Yumbo, is the biggest and busiest commercial center in the Canaries. By day, it's a quiet, family friendly shopping centre filled with great restaurants and all the usual souvenir shops. After dark it turns into a neon-lit, gloriously chaotic playground of bars, drag shows, music and people having an unapologetically good time. Despite the fact alcohol was plentiful and cheap, I didn't see a single fight in nine days. This is definitely somewhere you can walk around late at night and not have to worry about being robbed or attacked. It’s loud, a bit bonkers, occasionally trashy… and that’s exactly why it’s brilliant. Come for one drink and leave at 3am wondering what just happened.

In the day there are shops to explore and a few bars are generally open from mid afternoon. At night, it comes alive with alll the bars, from drag shows to restaurant open. The square is vibrant with activities, street traders, artists and a safe place for couples, gay and straight.

If you're visiting Gran Canaria, the Yumbo Centrum is an absolute must see! By day, it’s a laid back shopping and dining spot with a wide variety of stores, cafés, and restaurants offering something for everyone. But at night, the place truly comes alive transforming into one of the most vibrant and energetic nightlife hubs on the island. The atmosphere is electric, inclusive, and full of positive energy. What really stands out is the diversity people from all over the world come together here, creating a welcoming and open-minded environment. Mad little shopping centre, covers everything, we ate in 3 different places here on our visits from Puerto Rico, Macdonald was t open but il give lil a better review on other shops/redtraunt later. Cheap to park

Loaded with shops for tourists during the day and buzzing with bars and restaurants in the evenings. Worth a visit during the day for a bit of everything shopping and eclectic mix of people at night with a good selection of places to eat.
